The First Goldsmith Shop
In the last decade of the 19th century, when Hindu and Sikh businessmen were prominent in Peshawar's famous Ander Shehr Bazaar, a young Muslim Pathan named Rahimullah Khan started his very first goldsmith shop.
A Name Built on Trust
His clean and honest business policy quickly earned the confidence of customers. Through his active social profile and efforts to improve the market, local businessmen chose him as their chief spokesman, giving him the respected title of Chowdhry.
A Legacy Passed Forward
Chowdhry Rahimullah Khan introduced many innovations to the local gold business and became a symbol of trust amongst the people of Peshawar and surrounding towns. After his passing in 1950, his legacy continued through his two expert goldsmith sons, Hamidullah Khan and Hafeezullah Khan.
The Next Chapter
The brothers established a larger jewellery business under the name M. Hamidullah Khan Jewellers in Sarafa Bazaar. Following the tragic passing of Hamidullah Khan in 1981, Hafeezullah Khan continued the family dream with steadfastness and dedication.
